The Migrant Clinicians Network Prenatal Care Program seeks to ensure continuity of care for expectant mothers who begin prenatal care in one location and move for employment purposes during their pregnancy. Bilingual, culturally competent staff link migrant patients with prenatal services and manage their medical records throughout the pregnancy.
School-Based Prenatal Care Coordination Program Enhances Access to Culturally Sensitive Care, Improves Birth Outcomes for Immigrant and Minority Teens 6/5/2013
A high school–based clinic added an obstetrics care coordination program to provide pregnant Hmong and African-American students with comprehensive and culturally sensitive prenatal care, education, support, and referrals to community resources. The program has led to increased knowledge and confidence among teens and good birth outcomes.
