Innovations for Reducing Obesity and Overweight

At Paths to Healthy Weight, the Health Care Innovations Exchange presents new approaches for helping communities and clinicians prevent overweight and obesity, in a joint effort of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Health Resources and Services Administration. Our Featured Content and Voices From the Field sections highlight relevant profiles, tools, perspectives, and learning opportunities. Our Innovation Profiles and QualityTools sections offer additional healthy weight content, plus links for browsing more innovations and tools.

The Health Resources and Services Administration is funding a Prevention Center for Healthy Weight aimed at overweight and obesity in children and families. The National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality is managing the center and organizing the Healthy Weight Collaborative, which will share community-based and clinical interventions for preventing and treating overweight and obesity. Our Additional Resources section offers links to these organizations.
