Prehospital Medical Information System

Description

The Prehospital Medical Information System (PreMIS) is a State-mandated, Internet-based emergency medical services (EMS) information system that collects data on each EMS call report made within the States of Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and West Virginia. Submitted data provide hospitals and EMS administrators the capability to evaluate EMS patient care and system performance.

The PreMIS Web page includes video instructions and patient handoff forms. Although PreMIS is intended for EMS administrators in the States noted above, the patient handoff forms are freely available and can be adapted for use in other States.
