Act Against AIDS


Description

Act Against AIDS is a 5-year national campaign to combat complacency about HIV/AIDS. The Act Against Aids Web site provides resources for campaigns targeted to the general public, at-risk populations, and health care professionals, including the following:
  • Campaigns targeted to the public
    • Let’s Stop HIV Together: raising awareness and fighting stigma
    • Reasons: encouraging Latino gay and bisexual men to get tested
    • Testing Makes Us Stronger: encouraging African American gay and bisexual men to get tested
    • Take Charge. Take the Test: encouraging African American women to get tested
  • Campaigns targeted to health care providers
    • HIV Screening. Standard Care: encouraging primary care providers to screen all patients for HIV
    • One Test. Two Lives: encouraging obstetric providers to test all pregnant women for HIV
    • Prevention IS Care: encouraging providers who treat HIV to help patients reduce risky behaviors
