Community Paramedic Evaluation Tool

The Community Paramedic Evaluation Tool is a self-assessment tool to be used by communities that wish to assess the current status of their paramedicine program. The assessment tool also provides a common framework by which data can be collected from multiple community paramedicine programs to develop a snapshot of common successes and challenges, and to guide in the development of new community paramedicine programs. Although the tool should be useful across urban and rural programs, it is specifically designed to address rural settings in which community health/public health resources are often limited.

The tool includes sections on the following:
  • Using the tool
  • The optimal scoring process
  • Interpreting the score
  • Limitations
