1: Dissemination
A large proportion of patients at my place of employment have AHCCCS for their health insurance. Why hasn't my organization heard of AMIE? I recently forwarded information about AMIE to a leader on the management team. The response: "first I ever heard of it." I would think that a large rural health center that has large proportions of their population on AHCCCS would be regularly contacted and encouraged to participate in order to perserve State resources!

AMIE started operating last year as a prototype with a limited number of practitioners to understand how they use AMIE, how AMIE can provide value in a variety of health care settings, and how to make it better. And, as you might expect, there are many legal and privacy issues that accompany broader exchange of information and wide scale adoption in the health care community. We are just now developing the strategy for making AMIE available in the rural and tribal areas of the State. We welcome your organization's participation and encourage your management to join us through your regular AHCCCS liaison (if you'd like help with this, let us know.)
