Healthy Families, Healthy Communities: A Blueprint for Action: Mi Pueblo…Mi Familia

square iconDescription

This blueprint outlines ways to create and expand healthy living programs to improve community health through both nutrition and physical activity. It contains information on healthy, active living, focused on Latinos and their unique needs. Included are recommendations and tips for shopping, cooking and eating well, and ways to increase and improve physical activity told through the story of a Hispanic family on its journey to better health. The blueprint also includes concrete steps to become an agent of change within a community, plans for fundraising, media strategy, and organization—all of which will help create, expand, and promote a community program focused on obesity.
