| 1: Health access workers appear to be CHWs |
| Congratulations on a wonderful innovation that should be replicated. My comment is that these workers appear to meet the federal definition of "community health workers" (SOC 21-1094). It would be helpful to acknowledge this so we can progress further in recognition of this occupation with standardized qualifications, and creation of a viable job market for the benefit of other employers as well as the workers themselves. Indiana already has an occupation called CHW for its prenatal care coordination program; standards for these CHWs could be generalized to include other workers. |
