Dr. Chow is vice president of Patient Care Services, Program Office, at Kaiser Permanente. She joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000 to position the organization as a national
model for nursing care and a best place to work for nurses. She is also program director for the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows Program, a leadership
program designed for nurse-executives.
Dr. Chow is a co-author of "Fail Often to Succeed Sooner: Adventures in Innovation," a call to innovation published in The Permanente Journal, Fall 2005
(vol. 9 no. 4). She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, at-large nursing commissioner on The Joint Commission board, and member of the Joint Commission
Resources board. Dr. Chow previously served as vice president of Patient Care Services for Summit Medical Center and as Dean for Clinical Affairs at Samuel Merritt
College in Oakland, California.
